Wednesday

Have been away for a while, so not updated in ages.

Breakfast-bowl of oats & more cereal. Coffee
Lunch-2 slices of wholemeal toast topped with a can of spaghetti and a bit of cheese. Activia yog.

Weighed in on Wii this morning and I've lost 2lbs since last time. I've now lost over a stone since starting this, but I can't see any weight loss at all. In fact I feel bigger than ever. I feel like a whale and so bloated. Kellie said she saw in my face that I'd lost weight, but I'm not sure if she was just being nice. I feel so disheartened, but I don't want to look like this anymore. We're hoping to go to America next year and I don't want the humiliation of having to get an extender for my seatbelt. It's so embarrassing.

I will keep at it. Just wish I had some more support.

Wii fit says I've lost 1lb. Played a few games of tennis on the wii this morning. Been sorting out christmas pressies today. Have a lot bought already. :-)

Lunch-cheese on toast-2 slices. Packet of wheat crunchies. Coffee.
Snacks-coffee, nutrigrain bar. Aero mint mousse.
Tea-4 fish fingers in 2 white rolls. Some oven chips. Shared a tub of Haagen Daaz with DH...ooops! Then had a Baileys...oooooops!

Lunch-can of spaghetti, cheese & 2 wholemeal rolls.
Snack-Nutrigrain bar
Tea-chicken breast stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon. Boiled potatos, mini yorkshire pudding. Artic roll for dessert.

Grandma is out of hospital, which is good.

Mum called yesterday and Grandma is in hospital. Her leg gave way in the garden and she can't walk at the moment. Mum should know more today, as yesterday she was just being transferred to another hospital. Hoping the phone will ring soon...

Feeling a bit low today

Lost another 2lbs, according to my Wii Fit. All this hard work, trying to stay away from naughty food and I still can't SEE any result. Jeans don't feel looser and I certainly don't look any better. Feeling a bit crap about it to be honest.

Went on the Wii Fit today and realised I've lost just over a stone since I've been using it. It sure doesn't feel like it. I don't think my clothes feel looser or that I look any thinner. Mind you, what's a stone when you're the size of a whale anyway?

It's been a busy few days! We visited lots of Home Bargains and both QVC outlets. Got some good bargains and have Christmas well on the way to being sorted! :-)
Eating was a bit all over the place while Sue & I were away. She doesn't seem to eat proper meals at the proper time, so we ended up having breakfast at lunchtime and just eating junk food the rest of the day. But I'm back on track now, I hope!

Lunch-plain noodles with pieces of mattesons sausage in satay sauce with mascarpone cheese. Packet of crisps.

Funeral to go to today

It's Patience's funeral this afternoon. Finally decided what to wear for it. They've asked for people not to wear black head to toe, so I'm wearing a long black skirt with white flowers embroidered on the bottom, with a smart white/cream top, and in case it rains (and my top turns see-through!), a purple cardigan.

We desperately need to do a food shop! Skipped breakfast because I slept in, and we have no bread or anything. Had garlic & herb chicken breast for lunch with some wedges.
Been stitching all day, but think I need a coffee now... :-)

Tea-Pizza, wedges and chicken strippers. Take out-bad, I know... As I said, we have no food! But we did manage to do a tesco order tonight, so food arriving tomorrow night...woo hoo!

Sad today

Yesterday Alison texted me to tell me her Dad had died, and this morning I find out that one of the girls I worked with in M&S had died. Feel really upset about it even though we hadn't seen each other since I left the cafe. She was really sweet and funny and only young. Not sure how she died yet-I only know because on Facebook her wall is filled with loads of messages. Wonder what would be said if that was me...

Wii Fit says I've lost 2lbs!

I blame the heat. Just can't be bothered to cook or eat in this heat. Would happily scoff ice cream all day though! (which is why I'm making sure there isn't any in our freezer)

Breakfast-skipped, but I slept late because I couldn't get to sleep until about 2am this morning
Lunch-pasta with pesto, pine nuts and chopped frankfurter. Made loads so we can have that for tea later on.

Tea-same as lunch, with 2 slices of homemade bread (sundried tomatoes and parmesan-yum!)

It horribly hot out. I know it's not gonna last until the weekend though. Forcast is showers for Thetford. Oh well, we can spend the weekend in the swimming pool.

Tea-pizza & garlic bread. Managed to talk Bob out of buying take out. Honestly, he is no help with this at all!!! Does he want me to be fat and miserable forever???

...and it's a HOT one! Have had the fan on because there is no air in this place.

Bob went out on a test ride this morning, so didn't eat until about noon.

Feel ill. Don't think mince agrees with me. Tried lamb mince, beef mince, cheaper stuff, 'good' stuff from the butchers and every time I have a dodgy tummy afterwards. Not fair. Love spag bol & lasagne.

This week went fast! Still have lots of things on my list to tick off, and I wanted to get some stitching done this week. Not had chance so far. Haven't managed to do any Wii Fit exercises, either-just the body tests.

Bit happier today

Realised when I did the body test on Wii Fit that I've set my goal to GAIN 3lbs, not LOSE 3lbs...duh! No change in weight, though. :-(

Been really busy today listing things for Ebay. Stopped to have lunch and a quick bath, and now I have to dig my way into the corner of the room to find some stitching stuff I need, and put away the huge suitcase which is taking up half of the spare room!

Should start thinking about what I need to take to Centre Parcs next week too. Kate has booked us into the spa for a Twilight session on the Sunday evening. Can't wait! We're going on the bikes, but Kate has offered to take our luggage up in the car (not room for 5 people plus luggage in her car, though!), which helps a lot. Might do a roller skating session while I'm there. Curious to know if I can still do it. If I can, I might buy myself some roller boots. Used to love skating and it's good exercise. Anyway, must get going. Too much to do.....

It 's HOT today. Especially on the bike, but can't afford bus fare just to go to the dentist & back. Also had to go to PO and weigh some parcels to send off. Ebay is having a free listing day tomorrow too, so might try and flog some stuff on there. Need the cash!

Hard work wasted....

Not happy. I've gained 3lbs. I know I wasn't behaving, but I'm gutted that weeks of work trying to lose 4lbs is wasted because I've put 3lbs back on so quickly. I KNOW it's my fault and I ate ice cream on my holiday and scoffed cake and other things I shouldn't have, but it's too late to do anything about it now. I feel so disheartened. I wish Bob was more supportive with this. Bringing home chocolate is NOT helping me at all. Bring me home some yoghurts instead-I'd still enjoy them and it would be far better for me. Really bloody miserable now.

I'm back!

I know I was supposed to be doing this every day, but I had 2 holidays, and although I did try and keep a note of everything, it was just not happening! I wasn't too well behaved on my time off, but it was my birthday and you can't refuse a slice of your own birthday cake, can you?
Back on track today, although I haven't been on the Wii Fit to see what damage the past fortnight has done yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll check in...

Lunch-pasta & cheese sauce (packet mix) with some chicken mixed in. Some chocolate (birthday pressie).
Tea-One and a half chicken breasts, stuffed with philly, wrapped with parma ham, with 2 jacket spuds. Bob *really* isn't helping me because I hate waste, so I won't leave any on my plate, but that is far too much to eat.
Snacks-Small carrot cake (made by Alison for my birthday), some chocolate. Again, Bob's fault for bringing home Green & Blacks. I still have birthday chocolate, so I don't need it. But as I was feeling so low, I had no will power to say no. Feel terrible about it now, but it's too late.

Got the Monday blues today. Feel really unmotivated and miserable. Was trying to get dressed and kept crying because everything just looked so horrible on me. I'm sick of feeling like this and looking the way I do. I just want to go and hide under the duvet. :-(

Had a lovely surprise today!

The post came about an hour ago and I had something 'interesting' (anything without a window in the envelope is usually interesting!) addressed to me. When I opened it up, it was a lovely cross stitch kit & frame and a note from a friend of mine. I haven't seen her in years, as she lives in Wales, and to be honest, we sort of lost touch a bit, but lately we'd been playing Scrabble against each other on Facebook. It was so unexpected to get this from her, but it's really, really cheered me up. I'm so grateful for the good friends I have and things like this happening make me realise who my real friends are. People who don't bother to reply to my text messages inviting them to my birthday picnic aren't worth another thought. It's people who are thoughtful and kind like this that I should cherish.
I updated my FB status a few days ago to ".....is wondering why she tries to believe the best in people when all they do it let you down" and the only person to comment was someone who I have never even met! I know her through another forum, yet she took the time to ask if I needed to talk, and sent me a lovely message back when I sent her a message. What the hell is wrong with the world when people have no time for their friends?
I try to be a good friend, I really do. I put thought into buying presents, not just buy whatever fits into my budget half an hour before I meet up with them (and then get your staff to gift wrap them! You know who you are!!!!). I take time to listen to their problems and make sure they know I'm here if they need to talk, but I get nothing back. I can count my good, true, wonderful friends on one hand. People who I know I can turn to when things get to me. I don't always do it, because I know I bottle things up-don't we all? But I know they are there if I did need them. Someone who I could call at 3am in tears and they would listen, not tell me they have to get up for work in a few hours and can they call me tomorrow...
So anyway, getting this present was very nice and I feel really happy now. Sorry for such a long post!

Swimming today!

Went swimming with Sue earlier. Really didn't want to go, but glad I did as I enjoyed it once I was in the water. Have spent most of the afternoon on the phone sorting out next week. Hoping to go to Cheltenham Lido with my mum & cousin. My eyes are really sore and itchy now, though. Thinking either the sun doesn't agree with me, or my sun cream is irritating them. Not good.

6. Getting good things in the post. Freebies, things I've ordered, magazines....anything but bills or junk mail, really!
7. The smell of christmas...you know that spicy, fruity, christmassy smell? Gingerbread, mulled wine, cinnamon, cranberry, minced pies...
8. Getting into clean PJ's after a bath. Then snuggling up on the sofa under a throw.
9. The 'Grrr....arg!' bit at the end of Buffy & Angel. Always makes me giggle!

Hot hot hot!

Been sat in the garden for a while. Luckily the back garden stays fairly cool compared to the front of the house. Have been reading a book and drinking lots of fruit tea.

Breakfast-bowl of Oatibix. Coffee.
Lunch-Half a can of tomato soup and 3 slices of toast-last of the loaf. Seems silly to leave one slice.
Snack-cream crackers & cheese. Didn't count how many, but maybe 8?
Tea-lamb chunks in rice with tomato type sauce.

As this blog is supposed to be about getting happy as well as watching what I eat & trying to lose weight & get fitter, I thought maybe I should list some things that make me happy.
1. A cuddle with my husband-it's always nice to feel loved.
2. Getting a call, text, email or letter from a friend-happens so rarely nowadays that it's a real boost to my day.
3. Getting my hair cut. For some reason I love getting my hair cut. It makes me feel different & special-even if only for a few hours.
4. Enjoying a nice long bath-always with bubbles and a book or magazine. Bliss!
5. When I'm out riding my motorbike and I catch someone admiring it. It's also fun when they realise a girl is riding it and they look shocked. I'm proud of passing my bike test and proving to myself that I can achive something.

Wish I felt happier today. Something is seriously bringing me down. I need a hug.

Sunday

Lovely lie in until almost 11am because Bob was quietly watching the bike racing on TV.

Had breakfast-sausage sarnies and tea.
He's cooking something yummy for lunch now. Smells lush!

Haven't done a lot so far-just some washing and putting some clothes away. There's a slug in the bedroom somewhere and it's slimed some of my clothes that were on the floor (I know, I'm a slob!), so needed to wash them again & find out where the little bugger is hiding, so I can kill it. Ergh!

Made up a huge jug of chilled fruit tea to drink as it's a lovely hot sunny day again.

Bob made a very nice lunch of stuffed chicken breast (stuffed with philly & cheese) and diced potato with olive oil. Small bowl of ice cream for dessert.

Wasn't that hungry at tea, so just had a bowl of Oatibix. Had a mug of tea with 2 biscuits in the evening.

Saturday

Didn't get chance to post at all yesterday, so having to try and remember what I ate.

Had a big breakfast of sausage & bacon sarnies, with a mug of tea.
Tiny lunch of a small bowl of ice cream.
Went out for something to eat in the early evening before we went to the theatre (Hot Mikado at Queens theatre). Used the Taste London card in Pizza Express & had dough balls (shared), a pizza (4 cheese-mine was smaller than Bob's one) and lemon tart with marscapone for dessert. Shared a beer with Bob to wash it down with.
Had some Maltesers at the theatre.

Did walk around town a bit, so I got a tiny bit of exercise.

No swimming today-but not my fault!

I had all my stuff ready, but Sue got to the entrance and there was loads of kids going through to the pool, so she decided she couldn't face it. As she's the one driving me home, I could hardly go on in anyway, even though I could really do with swimming off all that curry from yesterday. So we're gonna go on Monday instead.
Breakfast-Strawberry crisp cereal-need to buy more cereal!
Snack at cross stitch meet-Kit Kat (2 finger) and 3 biscuits. Coffee
Lunch (pub after cross stitch meet)-bacon, chicken & cheese panini with BBQ sauce. No chips! J2O (red) . I tried to order the soup, but they didn't have it.
Smoothie in the afternoon.
Tea-Slice of bread with garlic & herb philly. Chinese rib steak thingy. Oven chips. 4 crackers & cheese. Mug of tea.

Had to go to the dentist this afternoon, so my mouth feels all funny now. Yuck!

Wii Fit age is 20 today!!!!

No idea how it's suddenly dropped so low. I've lost a tiny bit of weight, but not a full lb. I did well in the tests-stillness and the walking one, so maybe that's why? But it was 31 or something yesterday, so that's a huge drop. Think I might have a smoothie for breakfast. Hopefully that'll give me some energy to do something!

Lunch-Half a can of tomato soup, some bread to dunk.

Bugger! Slipped up in a big way and ordered take out tonight. We have hardly any food and both of us were hungry, so we got a curry. I had a chicken pasanda, naan bread, coconut rice, chicken pakora (shared with Bob) and a poppadom. And a mint feast ice cream. Then some cola & a mug of tea.

I am gonna have to do a LOT of swimming tomorrow to work it all off. Only managed 15 minutes on the Wii fit today. Feel really guilty..... How is everything going with you, K? Haven't heard about how well behaved you're being? Have you slipped up at all?

Where's the sunshine gone?

It's been raining all day. I have loads of washing to dry, but there's no more space indoors. Not done a lot today yet. Just booking my train tickets for my next visit to Gloucester. Will be just before my birthday, so that'll be nice. Bob isn't coming with me though.

Wii Fit has decided I'm 2lbs lighter again, so the whole 'weighing in at the same time each day' thing must make a difference.

Breakfast-bowl of strawberry crisp cereal

Lunch-one plain bagel with garlic & herb philly (stinky breath now!). Packet of smokey bacon crisps. Mug of coffee.

Snack-6 crackers with cheese. Am really hungry this afternoon!
Tea-chicken burger in a roll, potoato wedges. Half a small easter egg and a mug of coffee.

Feel really fed up. Didn't do any wii fit exercises today. Just couldn't face it. Am fed up with wasting my time with people who couldn't give a shit about me. Hardly any of my so-called friends bother to keep in touch with me, and when I contact them they take days to reply. I wonder how many of them would bother to come to my funeral...

Think I might have a Baileys to drown my sorrows.

(I didn't have a Baileys in the end. Had a couple of small bits of bread from the loaf I've just made, and a glass of orange juice. Off to bed now...hope I get a great nights sleep & wake up much happier than I have been all week)

Feels like a Monday still....

Breakfast-2 slices of wholegrain toast. Coffee.

Went swimming for an hour with Sue, then had lunch in the cafe. Had a chicken tikka panini.

Came back to mine to play on the wii. Had a couple of glasses of orange juice during our play. Not really counting it as exercise as some of the things I did were on a guest Mii, so not affecting my Piggybank anyway. Might do some more in a minute though. Need a coffee first! The swimming woke me up for a while, but I feel tired today. Had a bad nights sleep having nightmares about mice!!!!

Snack-muller corner & huge mug of coffee. Note to self-buy more while they're on offer! Better than snacking on crisps or chocolate.

Have done 40 minutes on the wii fit. Quite liking step today. Think I did 2 normal and one step plus session. Says I've put on 2lbs since my last body test though, which is not good. But it did say that I should weigh in at the same time each day and it was 10:28 before-today was about 17:00, so that may make a difference. Will try weighing myself in the morning tomorrow.

Tea-3 pork & apple sausages, mash potato with mustard, gravy. 2 glasses of apple juice.
Mug of tea about 9:30pm.

Our wedding anniversary today!

So I'm allowed a little treat. Had bacon sarnies for breakfast-yum! 3 slices of wholegrain bread with 3 rashers of bacon, some ketchup and a big mug of tea. Also had a caramel choccie from the chocs I gave Bob as part of his anniversary pressie. Not sure what we're doing today. It's not as nice as it was yesterday, so probably won't go out anywhere.

(Afternoon update)
It brightened up a bit, so we did some work in the garden. Cutting branches off the tree with the electric trimmer (fun! Love power tools!) and bagging it up. Then Bob mowed the lawn...who knew our garden was so big! Didn't realise how much time had passed, so missed lunch. Had another choc and a mint feast to cool down. Not sure what to do for tea yet. It's almost 6pm, but I'm not feeling very hungry yet. I can smell someone's BBQ outside though and it smells yummy!

I'm going swimming tomorrow with Sue, so it'll be great to start that again. Haven't been in ages. We're also going on Friday, and hope to keep it up for at least a weekly thing, hopefully 2 times a week if we can.

Tea-pizza & garlic bread. Half a bottle of white wine. Boozy coffee. Bob made dessert, which was angel delight, sprinkled with chocolate and with a biscuit shoved in it! But it was in a heart shaped ramekin....bless!

Lazy Sunday

Bob is off to watch the football later, so I'm going to ride over to Alison's and see her & the kittens. It's a lovely day here today-the sun is shining and it's really warm outside.

Had a big mug of tea, a yogurt and 2 slices of toast for breakfast.

Lunch-2 white rolls, toasted and topped with half a can of spaghetti hoops and some cheese.

Drinks at Alisons-2 glasses of juice (orange & grapefruit?) and 2 coffees.

Tea-2 plain bagels with garlic & herb philly on. Small glass of coke.

Kittens are being little buggers at the moment. They're either asleep and looking cute & gorgeous, or fighting each other and biting each others ears/legs/tail etc...

Busy day

Went out to Epping today, so ended up having lunch in a pub. Not that keen on Epping, but did get a workout walking from the tube to the town centre-all uphill! Not fun. So I haven't done any Wii fit today. Feel really tired tonight and can't wait to get to bed soon. Definately need something to boost my energy levels. It's not like I was up early (10am, ish)

Breakfast-2 slices of toast & big mug of tea
Lunch-Goan chicken curry, rice, naan bread. No dessert-too full, plus wanted to get away from the bimbos who has sat next to us and were being very annoying. Bottle of pear cider and 1/3 bottle of fruit cider (was very hot today...)
Tea-leftover lasagne from yesterday with some oven chips. A small easter egg (didn't have one at easter & saw this one for 10p in superdrug!) shared with Bob, with a coffee.
Think I had another cup of tea at some point, and a glass of malibu and pineapple fruit tea (chilled, and it's not alcoholic!)

Anyway, I'm off to get some much needed sleep...zzzzz.....

2lbs lost!

Just weighed in on the Wii fit & it said I've lost 2lb in the 2 days since I last went on it! :-) My wii fit age has gone up though...from 29 to 31. Strange, but never mind. Haven't done anything else on it yet, but I'll try and do 30 minutes today.

Breakfast-muller corner yoghurt
Lunch-was a bit odd as I went out. Had a slice of bread & butter about 1pm. Then a starbucks strawberry & cream frappachino about 2:30. Was too busy wandering around the shops to have anything 'proper', so now (nearly 5pm), I'm quite hungry!
Tea-home made lasagne, small cheese roll. Mug of tea & a mint Feast ice cream
Late evening-coffee. Obviously didn't wake me up much. It's 9:30 and I'm desperate to go to bed!

Have done 13 minutes on the Wii Fit so far. Unlocked a new balance game, which involves sitting on the wii board and staying very still for 3 minutes. Apparently I'm a champion at this! ;-)

Wii Fit wouldn't let me play earlier. Secretly pleased.

For breakfast I had a yog & mug of coffee
Lunch: cheese sandwich with 2 slices of bread. Pack of crisps.
Smoothie made with mango chunks, apple juice, tropical juice & orange juice. Drank a large glass of this, and there was still some left over, so I'm freezing it for another day.
Snack-Huge mug of coffee and a slice of bread & butter (Bertolli spread) to wake me up after a nap! Ooops! Knew I wasn't feeling right today...

Tea-Bob cooked a casserole type thing with potatoes, lamb, cream (elmlea) and herbs. Yum! And I had a slice of bread & butter too.

Couple of mugs of tea during the evening also.

Don't know where this week has gone! I haven't seemed to have done much at all. I'm still unpacking the suitcase I took to Gloucester & I've been back a week. Have done all of the washing, but still haven't put away the odds & ends.

Urgh!

I feel rubbish today. Don't think I slept very well last night. I know I had weird dreams, but I don't remember what about. Woke up at 9:30am and my head is really fuzzy. The last thing I feel like doing is any Wii Fit, but I'll try it after a coffee & yoghurt. Maybe it'll blow the cobwebs away. I look awful, too. I have 2 really sore spots-one near my eye and another on my chin. Clearasil just isn't doing the job at the moment. Wish I could crawl back under my duvet and go back to sleep...

Grrr!

Well, I *tried* to be good today, but Bob came home with some shopping and had bought some mint Feast ice creams, which he didn't even offer to me-just shoved one in my hand!

So for tea I had the ice cream, and half a meat feast pizza. No garlic bread though. Also finished off the tiny bit of bread we had left-but it WAS just the last small end piece.
Just about to have a mug of tea, which makes it 2 this evening. I think I should be drinking more. Water, fruit juice, that kind of thing...

Will make smoothies tomorrow. Haven't had one in ages.

Wii Fit!

It let me play today-Yippee!!!
I went on it first thing, before breakfast. I've done 18 minutes so far and I'm all sweaty now. Yuck! I've done one session of all of the following.
Hula Hoop
Basic Step
Super Hula Hoop
Rhythm Boxing
Ski Slalom
Ski Jump
Penguin Slide
Snowboard Slalom

Will try and so some more later on. Hope to do 30 minutes today, but not sure if eating a bowl of cereal will put me over the weight limit. I'm obviously hovering right near the top. This WILL change! :-)

No Wii Fit today

Too fat for the Wii fit today. Instead of crying and drowning my sorrows in a bag of crisps (which I was very tempted to do!), I played 20 minutes of tennis on wii sports and a game of bowling. Now, I know that Wii tennis isn't exactly the same as playing a proper game, out in the fresh air, etc etc, but at the moment, there's no way in hell I'm doing any exercise in a public place. Too humiliating, thank you very much! I must just be a lb or 2 over the 150kg limit, so if I behave, then it should let me on in a few days. It's so embarrassing to say I'm too fat for the Wii fit. I hate being like this, I really do. I hate having to fly on planes because I need an extender belt. I hate all my clothes looking crap on me. I hate feeling like people are staring at me. I hate that when I wear a skirt, my inner thighs rub together and get really sore. I don't want to feel like this anymore. I want to be happy and healthy. I'm not saying I want to be a size 10, because I don't think that's realistic for me. But I need to lose a few stone, at least. That's it for today, before I get miserable... :-)

Snack (Bob late home and was feeling sick from hunger!)-6 cream crackers with Bertolli spread and a tiny bit of cheese-because it needed using up.

Tea-one chinese style ribsteak. Sweet & sour noodles (packet mix stuff). One slice of home made sun dried tomato and parmesan bread. Mug of tea. Glass of chilled pear & guava fruit tea.

The start...

So, my best friend and I are going to change our lives. We're going to lose weight, look fab and enjoy life!
I am going to keep a food diary on here to keep an eye on what I'm eating and hopefully it'll stop me snacking or eating too much rubbish. So today I ate a bowl of cranberry wheats with semi-skimmed milk for breakfast. I had a mug of tea & a mug of coffee at a friends house (but turned down the offer of chips for lunch!) and I've just eaten a muller corner as a very late lunch. Made up a glass of pear & guava fruit tea (chilled) to go with it.

I've not done any exercise today, as yet though. Went to a friends house earlier, but rode there on the motorbike. Played with the kittens, but I think they burnt off much more energy than I did!
I will try and do some time on the Wii fit later-if it will let me. I'm ashamed to say I'm right at the top of the weight limit, so sometimes it won't let me do anything on it. Hopefully that will change now and I'll be able to spend some time on it most days.

Anyway, enough with sitting in front of the computer! Off to put some washing in the machine...
